It is short dry season in Rwanda. We received little rain in Jan and Feb. The trees struggle to survive during this period.
2023. 1 – Trees growing in the sun
It has been 10months since we planted various trees in the field. Pemegranate, Lemon, Guava and Macadamia trees have been growing well. The trees have reached the height with 50-70cm respectively.
2023. 2 – The architect visited Rwanda
The architect Kunihiko Takano visited Rwanda for the first time to see the farm and to have meetings for the design of cafe. We did the site check and took measurement of where we are supposed to build. We refurbished the idea of desgin and construction materials through the meeting with a construction company.
2023. 3 – Coffee Germination
The coffee germinated from the 2nd batch nursery. It was easier to control insects than 1st batch. We plan to put them in pot after rainy season starts in April.
